You only need two verses in your brain to prove Calvinism is false and OSAS Arminian is true. Since God is imploring and pleading with people to believe in Him (pick your favorite one) then He is providing sufficient grace to all to have the free choice. And John 10.28 those who are born-again "they shall never perish." :love_heart:
It seems you conflate the notions of choice and responsibility. Paul seems to make it very clear that God gave us the law knowing full well we wouldn't and couldn't keep it. It seems the Pharisees were under the impression that since they were responsible, they just had to will hard enough and it would be so.
As to your second point, could you please explain your point? It seems you're advocating eternal security, which I always thought was more of a Calvinistic notion. Thanks!
How can there be no responsibility with choice? Makes no sense. You're trying to desolve yourself of responsibility by not adhering to making the right choice which is in Christ. Since a person can't keep the law what does God do? He provides us all sufficient grace to have the choice to believe in His Son. Just as the Pharisees were wrong they could not will themselves so are Calvinists wrong since they are trying to will themselves to be saved by assuming they were irresistibly selected. That attitude will never do. God would never receive someone with such an obnoxious stance.
There are two kinds of eternal security. One is false. One is true. The kind Calvinists promote is based on a false foundation of assuming one is irresistibly selected. Whereas Christians, that is to say OSAS Arminians, searched God out with all our hearts and souls so that God gave us the gift of repentance and faith unto regeneration.
