With serious proof-texting, many come to the conclusion that God is a spirit and hence without a physical body. New Research has shown that the scripture used for this has been misapplied. We believe that Hebrews 1:2-3 is one of the most clear, powerful and straight forward for showing that God is embodied with a divine body, with a human shape. Christ ascending with his body in the resurrection is exactly like his Father who is in Heaven. Christ has a body, so does his Father.
For twenty centuries we needed to wait upon New Research about what the Apostles wrote in the New Testament? Surely you jest. How is this New Research?
"But in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high" (Heb. 1.2,3 RSV).
You're assuming into the text that which is not there. There is nothing to suggest the Father was resurrected or has a fleshly body. The Bible says God is Spirit. He remains Spirit before Jesus' incarnation and after. The Bible says no man can see the Father, but if He has a fleshly body then you could see Him; therefore, you contradict the Bible. Man is made in God's image, but that doesn't mean we are a spirit Being like the Trinity is. We are soulical beings with a spirit and a body. We are made in God's image because we have all that goes with that.
You fail to make your case, so there is no reason, none whatsoever for a Christian to accept Mormons as Christians. You worship a false Christ and a false Father.
