Default Instances where Jesus is shown to be God

Give your instances in the Bible where Jesus shows He is God or says it.

For example, in Luke 22.70, "Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he [Jesus] said unto them, Ye say that I am."

"And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you" (Ex. 3.14).

The Gospel of John Reveals Jesus is God

"John pointed him out to the people. He shouted to the crowds, "This is the one I was talking about when I said, `Someone is coming who is far greater than I am, for he existed long before I did'." (John 1.15). Only God existed long before. "And he is before all things, and by him all things consist" (Col. 1.17). "By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth" (Psalms 33.6). The Word was the agent of creation.
"No one has ever seen God. But his only Son, who is himself God, is near to the Father's heart; he has told us about him" (John 1.18). Did John lie?

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1.1). "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" (v.14 KJV). "So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father (v.14 NLT). Jesus is the Word, who is God.

I think there is a need to agree on the Bible Version to be used.

You're banned for trying to legalize the Bible. This is what KJV-onlyists do.

The Bible versions agree 99.5% or higher. God uses the open Bible, so no single version can monopolize. This is the way of God's working. Discern that .5%. There is in fact lots of gems in that .5%. The more spiritual have a greater understanding of that .5%.

    Default I'm new here....

Did you actually "ban" that fellow for his suggestion?

Of course, since it was not a suggestion but a rationalization. You can't have a discussion with someone who doesn't believe in the open Bible or is a non-Christian who doesn't accept Jesus is God based on legalizing a version. When someone is being intellectually dishonest with themselves, we should not cater to their flesh. Such conversations are wasteful which we don't need here.

I had to ban hundreds and hundreds of people (e.g. notice I had 185 spammers on-line at one time in a spamming campagin by agnostics/atheistis), but have since stopped doing that. Now I just remove their account and moderate registration which works much better than banning. They don't seem to come around as much now. I trust you get an appreciation of why the Bible says not to judge, because it is for your own benefit not to do so, lacking the necessary information to understand the why. It's ok to ask a question humbly though.

I thought I was told not to judge lest I would be judged (ie, I give mercy, I receive mercy, same idea).

I do have a question about the doctrine of OSAS, however and would like to know how you reconcile Hebrews 10:26-31 with that particular theology.

Thank you in advance for your time and patience with me,

    Chris

P.S. I like Watchman Nee a LOT, as well :) anionted of God, IMHO

Why would you think "lest ye be judged" is not "for your own benefit not to do so, lacking the necessary information to understand the why"? After all, you will be held accountable for judging falsely.

Regarding Heb. 10.26-31, if a person is saved then they will lose rewards in outer darkness after hell burns off the dross of their false works. Do not think there is no consequence for Christians. Also, if the unregenerate comes into the knowedge of the truth, yet refuses to accept salvation (having come so close to the truth in the Word), there is grave consequence: an eternal separation from God.

I was already "there"...I was unclear that YOU were saying that as "for your own benefit not to do so" did not make it clear to me.

I now understand you WERE speaking to the personal judgement as being the result of judgement of others.

Thank you for the explanation of Hebrews, as well. If I may...

    Also Hebrews 6:4-6?

Thanks again for your expedient reply, as I am learning and hungry for knowledge.

If you were already "there" then why would it be an issue for you about God saying these words for your own benefit?

I now understand you WERE speaking to the personal judgement as being the result of judgement of others.
What did you think I was saying?

Follows the exact same principle! You like reading Nee. He writes about this,
    http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/1Tim4.htm

God uses this tough language for Christians, because He does not want us to lose rewards of reigning in the millennial kingdom. Not all Christians are going to return to reign (Jude 14,15) to receive the hidden treasure in the field. The faith that we have in Christ, is in God who has infinite foreknowledge to know when to give eternal life at new birth. It is not possible for us to lose salvation of eternal life once given, for that is the very essence of eternal life -- it is eternal! Those who do not believe this more often than not are either not born-again, or will lose rewards.
