These people in John 10.28 are born-again. How can you be born-again, lose it, get born-again again? As we are born physically once we can only be born-again once, not twice, three times or 30 times. Eternal life is eternal once given (John 17.3). The Bible says salvation is not by works lest anyone should boast. Are you not boasting in your works if you could lose salvation in your lack of strength to remain? This would indicate that William Lane Craig is not born-again and is going to Hell.Originally Posted by soterion
Is Gal. 1.6-7 referring to losing eternal life once received or simply backsliding? It would seem the latter. Whereas Gal. 5.1-4 seems to be indicating those not yet born-again are relying on works. Is the drifting away in 1 Col. 1.21-23 a drifting away all the way or just backsliding? After all there are consequences for Christians though we don't lose salvation, we can lose rewards which is returning to reign with Christ over the nations for 1000 years. 1 John 1.7 is walking in the light. Could not a believer for a day walk not in the light because he got caught in the world? He would not lose salvation, but rewards if Jesus returned that day.
